De fans van onze Snackpoint Eaters Limburg hebben lang moeten wachten op nieuws vanuit het ijshockeykamp. Hiervoor zijn natuurlijk allerlei redenen; het is tenslotte niet niks wat allemaal gebeurt in de wereld op dit moment.

De voorzitters van de Nederlandse en Belgische ijshockeyclubs zijn, as we speak, hard aan de slag om ijshockey voor het komend seizoen 2021-2022 mogelijk te maken voor de diverse clubs. Jullie begrijpen dat dit niet vanzelf gaat. Om jullie in de ontwikkelingen mee te nemen hieronder een paar wetenswaardigheden:

• Op 10 augustus staat er een vergadering gepland van het bestuur van IJshockey Nederland met de voorzitters van de betrokken Nederlandse clubs over de Ron Bertelingschaal, de bekercompetitie en het kampioenschap van Nederland.
• Vrijdag 13 augustus vindt er een vergadering plaats tussen de voorzitters van de betrokken Bene League clubs.

Na vrijdag hopen we jullie dus bij te kunnen praten over de verschillende competities; en natuurlijk volgt er dan ook heel snel nieuws over het team van onze Eaters en over de technische staf.

Zoals jullie in een eerder stukje hebben kunnen lezen staat het team sinds mei al 1 keer per week op het ijs om te trainen; op dit moment wordt er ook een off-ice programma gerealiseerd.

Zo heeft de organisatie van Snackpoint Eaters alles in het werk gesteld om straks een mooi oefenprogramma samen te stellen dat start op 5 september (maken we woensdag bekend). Natuurlijk zijn en blijven we afhankelijk van de regelgeving en protocollen met betrekking tot Covid-19.

Er zijn nog veel vragen die op dit moment nog onbeantwoord zijn. 

• Mogen de Eaters straks spelen met publiek?
• En welke regels en protocollen zijn er dan? 
• Zijn staanplaatsen toegestaan en welke andere oplossingen zijn er als dat niet mag?
• Hoe zit het met de seizoenskaarten?

De hele organisatie van Snackpoint Eaters Limburg is op dit moment hard aan het werk om antwoorden te vinden op al die vragen. Naast de Covid perikelen zijn er natuurlijk ook nog de vragen met betrekking tot het team, de technische staf enzovoorts.

Verder hebben jullie ook allemaal kunnen lezen over zaken rondom andere clubs.

Geen tijd om stil te zitten dus.
