Snackpoint Eaters Limburg en de bekerstrijd.
Het oefenprogramma van de Eaters is jullie inmiddels bekend. Het programma is onlangs op onze socials en op de site gepubliceerd.
Zoals elk jaar speelt het Geleense team uiteraard ook in de bekercompetitie met als mogelijke apotheose de finale op 9 januari.
Deze bekercompetitie wordt gespeeld vanaf 8 oktober (programma van de bekercompetitie onderaan dit artikel toegevoegd).
Deelnemers zijn Unis Flyers Heerenveen, Zoetermeer Panters, Ultim Air Hijs Hokij Den Haag en natuurlijk Snackpoint Eaters Limburg uit ons eigen Geleen.
Zoals gezegd start de competitie op 8 oktober en wordt de laatste wedstrijd in de bekercompetitie gespeeld op 13 november als Snackpoint Eaters Limburg de uitwedstrijd speelt in Zoetermeer.
Het weekend daarna beginnen de halve finales in een best of three met de eerste twee wedstrijden in dat weekend en de eventuele beslissende derde wedstrijd op de dinsdag of woensdag daarna.
De finale wordt zoals gezegd gespeeld op 9 januari 2022. En wel in het stadion van de finalist die het hoogst is geëindigd in de bekerstrijd.
Finales uit het verleden in bijvoorbeeld Eindhoven hebben laten zien dat, als Geleen in de finale staat, de vertegenwoordiging uit Geleen enorm is. Steun dus massaal onze jongens tijdens de bekerwedstrijden om ze naar de finale en uiteindelijk naar die felbegeerde beker te supporten.
