Dit weekend twee wedstrijden voor Snackpoint Eaters Limburg tegen Belgische teams. Op zaterdag spelen we thuis tegen Leuven Chiefs en op zondag gaan we naar de tent van Herentals.
Beide teams hebben we al getroffen, in en tegen Leuven wonnen we moeizaam met 3-4. De thuiswedstrijd, gespeeld in Luik, ging een stuk makkelijker en werd een een 7-4 overwinning. Eaters speelde 2 weken geleden ook in Herentals, deze wedstrijd ging helaas verloren met 6-2. Na de 1e periode stond Geleen nog met 0-1 voor.
De afgelopen week kon Eaters eindelijk weer op het Geleense ijs trainen, net op tijd zou ik zeggen want naar drie weken niet trainen en 3 nederlagen op een rij is het weer tijd dat de mannen de punten gaan pakken.
Zaterdagavond om 20:30 uur is de puckdrop en natuurlijk verzorgen we weer een livestream. Op zondag om 20u spelen we in Herentals waar het publiek welkom is, er gelden dezelfde coronamaatregelen als vorige week: mondmaskerplicht vanaf 6 jaar en verplichte CST-scan (QR Code).
Dit weekend gaan de wedstrijden dus nog steeds door, zonder publiek in Nederland, en proberen de clubs door livestreams aan te bieden het publiek er toch bij te betrekken. De komende week zal er meer bekend worden over hoe verder zo lang er geen publiek welkom is.
